I'll be honest, I almost never see motorcycle riders in NYC obeying the rules. They lane split (it's not legal here), they turn on red, they speed, they cut people off and they drive on the shoulder or they are doing ridiculous wheelies.
I'm not saying the above was the case here but in these scenarios it's usually the rider's fault.

I'll be honest, I almost never see automobile drivers in NYC obeying the rules. They drive drunk (it's not legal here), they turn on red, they speed, they cut people off and they drive on the shoulder or they are constantly on their phones.
I'm not saying the above was the case here but in these scenarios it's usually the driver's fault.

The drivers here are out of control. My only beef with riders here is that every street is basically an echo chamber, so it gets real loud real fast.

There was an ambulance with its lights on crossing the intersection against the light, and witnesses say the guy tried to beat it instead of stopping. But who knows if he just couldn't stop safely in time and thought he could make it - either way he hit the side of the ambulance.
